Local organizations and congregations are offering opportunities for residents of Oak Ridge and surrounding areas to get to know each other and build community, a press release said.
The Community Unity Celebration kicked off with the Human Rights Rally on Saturday, January 18, and it will end with the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 6.
“Please join us as you can!” the press release said.

February 8- Oak Valley Baptist Church and Oak Ridge Civic Music Association, Men’s Black History Month Program. The program begins at 1 p.m. at the Scarboro Community Center at 148 Carver Avenue in Oak Ridge. The theme of the two-part BHM Program is Education and Musical Firsts.
February 9—Soul Food Sunday will raise funds to benefit the development of the African American Museum in Oliver Springs.
