Information from WYSH Radio

The Clinton Fire Department said one person died in a Monday evening fire at a home in Lakefront Mobile Home Park.

The fire was reported shortly after 7:15 p.m., and crews remained at the home until about 11 p.m.

The fire killed Harold Bray, 64.

The fire was an accident, apparently the result of Bray smoking while using oxygen for medical purposes, said Clinton Police Department Sergeant Jason Stokes, a certified arson investigator.

Damage to the mobile home was widespread, causing significant damage in the living room and kitchen areas and damage from one end of the house from a phenomenon known as “flash-over.”

No other injuries were reported to occupants or bystanders, and no firefighters were hurt battling the blaze.
