More than 700 runners are expected at the Secret City Half Marathon and 5k in Oak Ridge on Saturday, and several roads will be closed during the race.
The race is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.
The roads that will be closed during the race are:
- Melton Lake Drive,
- Union Valley Road,
- Sout Illinois Avenue to Lafayette Drive,
- Emory Valley Road,
- Briarcliff Avenue,
- South Columbia Drive,
- Laboratory Road,
- Oak Ridge Turnpike to Fairbanks Road,
- Coalyard Road, and
- Warehouse Road.
Volunteers and Oak Ridge Police Department officers will be at intersections helping drivers navigate around the race route, the city said.
“Drivers are asked to slow down and use caution during this time frame,” the city said.
