“Forever Plaid” is scheduled for performances at the Oak Ridge Playhouse from July 21 to July 31.

Featuring vintage songs from the 1950s and 1960s, “Forever Plaid” is a timeless revue centered around the close-harmony guy group Forever Plaid.

On the way to their first big professional gig, tragedy strikes this pitch-perfect quartet, their destiny coming to a crashing end. But when the “fellas” are given the chance to return to Earth for one final performance, they must face their nerves and deliver a show-stopping farewell or risk getting stuck in between worlds. With side-splitting comedy, a class-act foursome and a live band, “Forever Plaid” is sure to be a nostalgic, show-stopper for all audiences.

Individual tickets are for sale through the Oak Ridge Playhouse website at www.orplayhouse.com or by calling the Box Office at (865) 482-4877. Information on season subscriptions and group rates can also be obtained by calling the Box Office. Box Office hours are Tuesday-Friday from 12-5 p.m.

Here is how the Oak Ridge Playhouse website describes the musical, which was written by Stuart Ross with musical arrangements by James Raitt: “On the way to their first big gig, tragedy strikes Forever Plaid, a ‘guy group’ specializing in barbershop quartet harmonies and pitch-perfect melodies. ‘Forever Plaid’ begins when the guys are given the chance to perform from the afterlife. This ‘heavenly’ smash hit musical is a nostalgic homage to the music of the ‘50s and includes hits such as ‘Three Coins in the Fountain’ and ‘Love is a Many-Splendored Thing.'”

The performance is for general audiences.

See the Oak Ridge Playhouse website for more information.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
