Former Oak Ridge Wildcats wide receiver Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals will play the Tennessee Titans in an NFL playoff game in Nashville on Saturday.
Higgins, who was a standout football and basketball player at Oak Ridge High School, has played for Cincinnati since he was drafted in April 2020.
While still in high school, Higgins won Tennessee Titans Mr. Football award two years in a row and was a finalist for Mr. Basketball.
He played at Clemson University for three years and competed in two national championships, with the Tigers winning one in 2018. When he was drafted by the Bengals, Higgins was tied with NFL stars Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins for the all-time touchdown record for a Clemson receiver (27).
The Tennessean reported Thursday about how Higgins, one of the best young receivers in the NFL, chose football over basketball in high school.
Higgins will be back in Tennessee with the Bengals for the AFC divisional-round game against the Titans at Nissan Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Central time (4:30 p.m. Eastern) Saturday (CBS).
More information will be added as it becomes available.
