The application process opens March 1 for the 2020 Community Action Grants from the Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club.

The Community Action grants are open to nonprofit groups to help with special projects or initiatives of their organizations, a press release said.

In 2019, the Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club awarded a combined total of $20,000 in Community Action Grants to 13 recipient organizations, the press release said.

The grants support projects, programs, and specific activities that address educational, vocational, or community service needs in Oak Ridge and the surrounding area. Grants are awarded to activities that offer the most benefit to the lives of those most in need. Applicants must be registered under the Internal Revenue Code as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Grants are not awarded to fund individuals, religious groups, endowments, operating expenses, or capital campaigns, the press release said.

To receive a grant application and instructions, send your organization’s contact information, including e-mail address, to orbrcfoundation@gmail.com. The application process will open on March 1 and electronic applications must be submitted by May 1, the press release said. Awards will be announced in early June.
