Burkes Outlet will open its new store at Main Street Oak Ridge on Thursday, April 11.

Burkes Outlet has a changing assortment of name-brand fashion, beauty, and home items at up to 70 percent off other stores’ prices, a press release said.

“From clothing and shoes for the family to unique home items to handbags, accessories, beauty items, and more, Burkes Outlet is constantly bringing in new product,” the press release said.

“We shop the competition so you don’t have to,” says Dave Alves, president of Burkes Outlet. “Our buyers are constantly in market looking for one-of-a-kind buys and excess inventory. We negotiate deep discounts with manufacturers all over the world, which translates into huge savings for our customers. We love surprising our customers. It’s all about the treasure hunt. That’s why when you see something you love, you have to grab it fast.”

The store’s grand opening celebration will take place Thursday, April 11, to Sunday, April 14, with giveaways all weekend, the press release said. The first 150 customers in line each day will receive mystery scratch-off cards, with one lucky winner each day, receiving the grand prize of a $250 shopping spree, the press release said. The store will also host a gift card treasure hunt each morning of the grand opening celebration and a prize wheel for new Burkes One Card loyalty customers to spin. All promotions are while supplies last.

The press release said the new store will add more than 20 jobs to the community. Burkes Outlet is next to Electronic Express at Main Street Oak Ridge, the 58-acre project to redevelop the former Oak Ridge Mall.

Burkes and Bealls Outlets operate more than 500 retail stores across the southern and eastern United States, and also offers online shopping at www.BurkesOutlet.com, the press release said.

“With new product arriving every week, each store is unique and has something different to offer,” the release said.

Burkes Outlet at Main Street Oak Ridge is located at 223 East Main Street. It will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
