Dog Moon Books has a grand opening celebration in Oliver Springs on Saturday.

The grand opening is scheduled from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday, January 26. It will include a door prize, book drawings, and refreshments, according to an event flyer.

Local science fiction author Thomas A. Farmer will be there for a meet-and-greet from 2 to 4 p.m., the flyer said.

H.A.B.I.T. Reading dogs will be at the store at 12:30 and 4 p.m.

Dog Moon Books, a used book store, is located at 544 East Tri-County Boulevard in Oliver Springs.

“Just 10 minutes outside of Oak Ridge, you’ll find the cozy, welcoming, and well-stocked book store,” a press release said. Dog Moon Books’ tag line is “gently used books looking for new homes.”

All of Dog Moon Books’ used books are carefully curated by the owner, Jennifer Alexander, and cleaned before being placed on the shelves, the press release said. The store said it has a good selection of various genres of fiction in hard cover and soft cover, as well as a wide range of nonfiction titles and a delightful children’s section.

Call (865) 208-1618 for more information. You can also follow the store on Facebook and Instagram.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
