If you have a craving for that Bloomin’ Onion or a juicy steak, Outback Steakhouse may be the place for you.

Outback, located at 402 South Illinois Avenue, will be helping Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties, or ADFAC, on Monday, August 14 through the Dine & Donate Program.  On the second Monday of each month, Outback and fourteen other restaurants donate a portion of their sales to support ADFAC.

“Dine and Donate is a very important fundraiser for ADFAC,” said Cande Seay, Dine & Donate chair. “It’s good to see families and friends enjoying a delicious meal at a local restaurant while contributing to our organization.”

The event is sponsored by Leidos, UT-Battelle, Enrichment Federal Credit Union, ORNL Federal Credit Union, State Farm Agent Randy McFarlane, and J&M’s Butcher Shop.

Restaurants that will participate on Monday, August 14 include:

In Clinton:

  • Gondolier
  • Hoskins
  • Riverview Grill

In Oak Ridge:

  • Burchfield’s
  • Dean’s
  • Gallo Loco
  • Mediterranean Delight
  • Outback
  • Razzleberry’s
  • Soup Kitchen

Clinton (both), Oak Ridge (1968 Oak Ridge Turnpike), Oliver Springs, and Rocky Top:

  • Subway

Media support is provided by Oak Ridge Today.

Proceeds from D&D support ADFAC’s work to help the less fortunate in the community with services including short-term utility assistance, school supplies for K-12 students, home repairs for elderly homeowners, and much more, a press release said.

ADFAC answers more than 6,000 requests for assistance each year
