Oak Ridge Panhellenic Alumnae Association is open to any woman who has been affiliated with a National Panhellenic Sorority.

The objectives of the Oak Ridge Panhellenic Alumnae Association are:

  • To promote interfraternity friendships and cooperation
  • To publicize the high ideals, purposes, and accomplishments of the fraternity system
  • To further interest in community service and philanthropic efforts

Oak Ridge Panhellenic is made up of a cross section of community-spirited women who meet monthly to exchange idea, learn from programs presented, hold business meetings, and have fun. Programs range from gardening ideas, overview of bee keeping, visiting resources in the community, and dining at local restaurants. There is a wide range of ages among its members. Many of the members are involved in activities within the community.

Oak Ridge Panhellenic provides opportunities to meet new and interesting people.

The focus of the group is to contribute to local community projects or organizations as we recognize special needs of these groups. To fund these, we have two fundraisers a year: a wine tasting dinner and a pot-luck Christmas Party. Oak Ridge Panhellenic has supported such causes as Emory Valley Center, The Oak Ridge Playhouse, Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge, The Oak Ridge Education Foundation, Girl’s Inc., the Oak Ridge Free Medical Clinic, Roane State Community College, Scarboro Day Care, and the breast coils for the Oak Ridge Breast Center.

If you are interested in joining or need additional information, please contact President Carole Akers at (865) 220-9115.
