Consolidated Nuclear Security LLC and the 16 local unions that comprise the Knoxville Building and Construction Trades Council reached terms on a new five-year labor agreement on Tuesday, September 13. The new five-year labor agreement expires September 30, 2021.

The agreement also has an option for CNS to extend the new agreement without further negotiation for an additional five years through September 30, 2026.

“CNS management is pleased discussions between the two parties have resulted in a new labor agreement and recognizes the Knoxville Building and Construction Trades Council membership’s important contributions to Y-12 and national security,” a press release said.

CNS manages and operates the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, for the National Nuclear Security Administration.
