Danny Treece, a radiology technologist in the Radiology department at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, has been named the MMCer of the Month for April.

Treece has been with Methodist since 2006. In his job, he performs x-rays in the hospital’s Emergency Department.

Treece is described by Michael Manfredo, director of Medical Imaging, as “dependable,” “the consummate professional,” and “a team player.”

“He does an outstanding job of taking care of our patients and always provides excellent care,” Manfredo said.

Treece received two nominations.

“He always completes his work and is willing to lend an extra hand to his co-workers,” one nomination said.

Another nomination echoed this: “Danny works as an x-ray technologist; however, he can routinely be seen getting patients for the CT technologists and taking them back to their respective rooms. He always goes above and beyond to provide superior patient care.”

A nomination added: “His personality puts his patients at ease in an otherwise stressful environment in the Emergency Department. He is a true professional and always has a positive attitude even in difficult situations.”

One of his nominations also noted that Treece is a role model for the other x-ray technologists.

Manfredo concluded: “He encompasses our corporate values of integrity, quality, and caring every day he steps foot into our facility. We’re very lucky to have him on our team.”

Treece lives in Harriman. He has two sons: Daniel, a master seargent in the Air Force, and Mark, a student at Harriman High School.

He is a member of Seventh Day Adventist in Coalfield and in his spare time enjoys fishing and watching his youngest son play football for Harriman High School.

Kelly Goodman is the marketing and public relations coordinator for Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
