CONTACT Care Line is offering The Art of Active Listening Training on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. for eight weeks from August 25-October 13 in the Austin Peay Building at 1404 Circle Drive in Knoxville.

A press release said this training teaches empathetic listening skills that you can use with co-workers, family. and friends.

“Practice sessions, in a supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere, help you begin to use your new skills as you discover the value of constructive, caring listening, and responding,” the press release said. “This training is also the first step to become a CONTACT Crisis Line Specialist.”

Cost for the general public is $50. Cost for students is $25. Register online at http://www.contactcarelinetn.org/programs/training-registration/.
