Information from WYSH Radio

The historic David Hall Cabin, the oldest home and business in Anderson County, will have its annual Spring Open House this weekend—Saturday, June 6, and Sunday June 7—from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

This year, Civil War battle re-enactments will be held both days at 2 p.m.

In addition, there will be demonstrations of blacksmithing, lye soap making, butter churning, and weaving, as well as storytelling and bluegrass and gospel music throughout the weekend.

There will also be a recreation of a longhunters’ camp, a re-enactment of the Hamilton/Burr duel, and activities for the kids.

There is no admission, but donations are accepted to help with the maintenance and upkeep of the cabin.

For directions, use Mapquest: Harry and Libby Bumgardner; 830 Old Edgemoor Lane, Clinton, TN 37716.

You can call (865) 945-3807 or (865) 789-1478 for more information.
