Christopher Sharp Koerner

Christopher Sharp Koerner, age 20, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sycamore Twp, formerly of Oliver Springs, passed suddenly on Wednesday, March 25. Chris recently finished schooling through Scarlet Oaks Career School and was working as a heavy machinery mechanic.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Ethridge; grandfather, Frank Ethridge; grandparents, Charles and Jackie Ethridge; and his best friend in Ohio, Jordan Wood.

Chris is survived by his Dad and Mom, Danny and Sheri Koerner; brothers, Charles Michael Ethridge and Jacob Isaiah Williams; grandmother, Reba Demps Crass; and grandfather, Earl Sharp. 

He will be missed by all of his extended family, along with his friends, classmates and co-workers.

A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, April 1, at Staley Funeral Home in Ohio. Online obituary and condolences are at www.staleyfuneralhome.com.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Saturday, April 18, at Heritage Fellowship Church 121 Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a service at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Chris may be honored with donations in his name to the Heritage Fellowship Youth Ministry, 121 Illinois Ave, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, or Norwood Boys Club, Attn: Athletics Equipment, 827 E. Tri-County Blvd, Oliver Springs, TN 37840.
