Geneva Creekmore, 91, of Oak Ridge, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 17.

She was born in Jellico on April 18, 1923, to parents Newman and Georgia Lockard Bowlin.

Geneva was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church, enjoyed working in her yard, and was very proud of her endeavors. She took pride in letter writing and loved reading.

She was preceded in death by husband Zemory Creekmore in October of 1988.

Survivors include son, Elmer Don Creekmore and wife Nancy Ellen of Powell; daughter, Betty M. Lay and husband James of Oak Ridge; sister-in-law, Hannah Creekmore, Elijah, Georgia; grandchildren, Jeffrey Creekmore and wife Jennifer of Florida, David Creekmore of Florida, Scott Lay and wife Meschelle of Powell, and Jimmy Lay of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Laura Lee Creekmore, Amber Creekmore, Ashley Creekmore, Taryn Torbett and husband Chris, Taylor Lay, Trista Lay, Brenna Creekmore, and Karleigh Jo Creekmore; great-great-grandchildren, Chelsea Rae Faller and Cloe Nichole Johnston; and best friend and phone buddy, Elnora Rupe.

The family received friends Friday, March 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The graveside service followed at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Brother Archie Corder officiating.
