Valerie Anne Nickell, age 47, of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 9.

Valerie attended Grace Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts, and spending time with her grandkids. Valerie had a sweet spirit and was loved by everyone. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Dye.

Valerie is survived by her father, Mark Hutson; husband, Kenneth Nickell; sons, Kevin Nickell and wife Chelsie of Clinton, and Michael Phillips of Welston, Ohio; daughter, April Dillon and husband Allan of Knoxville; and grandchildren, Daemon Nickell, Brianna Dillon, and a grandson on the way.

Valerie’s family received friends on Friday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. with her funeral service immediately following at 7 p.m. with Derick Coapman officiating. Her interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio.

Jones Mortuary is in charge of all local arrangements.
