Sheila Beatrice Hembree Moore, age 55, went home to heaven peacefully on Sunday, March 1, surrounded by her three children.

Sheila was a Christian and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She worked as a nurse for 36 years, and was very dedicated to her patients. No one could have asked for a better nurse.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elmer and Lillie Hembree; maternal grandparents, George and Carlettie Mullins; and sister, Teresa Hembree.

She was a loving mother who leaves behind her three children, Amanda McGhee Hicks with husband James Hicks, Michael Alan McGhee with wife Jamie McGhee, and Candace Moore; four grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Kaitlyn Hicks, Haden Hicks, Brooke Hicks, and Mirrandia McGhee; her parents, Joseph and Goldie Hembree; sister, Vicki Sexton; and brothers, Glenn and Eddie Hembree. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

The family received friends on Friday, March 6, at Victory Baptist Church in the Stephens Community from 12 to 2 p.m. Funeral services began at 2 p.m. with Bro. Larry Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
