The Jazz and Show Concert that was rescheduled last weekend due to weather will now be held Sunday, March 1.

The concert by the Oak Ridge Wind Ensemble/Community Band will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 1101 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

It will feature flute soloist RaNaye Dreier, trombone soloist Don Batchelor, vocalist Deidre Ford, and a return appearance of the Dixieland Ensemble.

“This performance should prove to be highly entertaining and one of the highlights of the Community Band concert season,” a press release said.

The Community Band will perform such jazz greats as Duke Ellington tunes, Gershwin, Billy Joel, movie favorites including “West Side Story,” and others, the release said. The Community Band will be directed by Dale Pendley and assistant conductor Lisa Michaels.

“This is a ‘Do Not Miss’ event” the release said.
