He was due on December 28, and Dylan Cohen Williams was supposed to be one of the last babies of 2014.

But after making Mom and Dad wait a few days longer, on January 1, 2015, at 12:53 p.m. he became Methodist Medical Center’s first baby of the New Year.

Dylan weighed in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and he was 20 inches long.

Dylan’s proud parents are Carrie Wadley and Travis Williams of Oak Ridge. He joins big brothers Ian Wadley, 6, and Elijah Wadley, 4.

Carrie, Travis, and Dylan are pictured above with members of the Family Birthing Center staff, Lisa King, RN, hospital pediatrician Dr. Gary Brown, and Kathy Napier, RN who presented the family with a celebratory basket, courtesy of Methodist and Covenant Health. The contents included an assortment of baby care items, including a baby monitor, bath water temperature gauge, shampoo, and terry cloth towel, hats, blankets, bibs, and a keepsake book of baby’s first milestones.
