Wildcats: Boys 0-2 in trip to Georgia, girls win in Lenoir City

The Oak Ridge Wildcats picked up their first two losses of the season on Friday and Saturday at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational in Tucker, Georgia.

The boys’ basketball team lost 65-49 to the Tucker Tigers of Georgia on Friday and fell 57-49 to the Stephenson Jaguars of Georgia on Saturday.

The Wildcats had started the season with a historic 14-0 record. They are now 14-2 overall and have an undefeated 6-0 record in District 3-AAA.

On Saturday, the Lady Wildcats beat the Loudon Redskins 55-50 in the Lenoir City Christmas Tournament. The girls’ basketball team is now 10-5 overall and 5-1 in District 3-AAA.

The Lady Wildcats take on William Blount in the Christmas Tournament at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Lenoir City.

The boys’ and girls’ team then play again on Friday, January 2, at Gibbs High School. The girls’ game starts at 6 p.m., and the boys’ game begins at 7:30 p.m.
