More tea, Lord Crawley?

If you enjoy the PBS hit “Downton Abbey,” then take a moment to experience a taste of manor life at the Roane State Community College Foundation’s Upstairs/Downstairs High Tea.

The High Tea will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, at the Whitestone Country Inn in Kingston.

Tickets are $50 for individuals and $75 for couples, and they will go on sale Monday, January 5. Table sponsorships are available. Proceeds will be used for student scholarships.

The event will include entertainment inspired by Downton Abbey, a fashion show, a silent auction, traditional tea, and plenty of refreshments.

“Our High Tea will feature sophistication and fun,” said event organizer Cindy Whaley. “Plus, we will support a great cause by raising funds for student scholarships. The Roane State Foundation cordially invites you to join us for a spot of tea on January 24.”

To reserve tickets for the High Tea, contact the Roane State Foundation at (865) 882-4507 or foundationdept@roanestate.edu.
