Martha Lynn Waldrop Babb Bailey, age 65, a resident of the Marlow Community in Anderson County, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Martha was born January 20, 1949, in Knoxville, to the union of Rayburn Cole and Betty Lynn Melton Waldrop, who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Anderson County.

She was a clerical/office secretary at Brant Wald Surgical Inc., which was a business her father started. Martha had a great love of animals and was a member of several animal care groups. She also enjoyed gospel music and social media on her Facebook account.

Martha is survived by a daughter, Sara Lynn Seeber and husband Terry of Clinton, and a son Jeffrey Babb of Oak Ridge; sister, Freida Waldrop Dale and husband Kenneth of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Katie Babb Foster and husband Ryan of Oak Ridge, and Cole Babb of Oak Ridge; great grandchildren, Emory Foster and Addyson Foster; nephew, Eric Dale of Clinton; and special friends Bill and Audra Denton of Oak Ridge.

In keeping with the wishes of Mrs. Bailey, there will be no services conducted. Burial will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Woodhaven Cemetery in Claxton, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Marlow Volunteer Fire Department or the animal shelter of your choice.

Sharp Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Bailey family, and an online guest register book can be signed by visiting www.sharpfh.com.
