Freddy Lynn Lunce

Freddy Lynn Lunce, age 62, passed away on Monday, October 20, in Oak Ridge.

Fred is survived by his son, Jacob and daughter-in-law Natasha of Warner Robins, Georgia; his daughter Julie Leathers and son-in-law David Leathers of Knoxville; and his former wife Debbie Lunce of Oliver Springs. Fred is survived by grandchildren Averie Leathers, Makayla, Makenzie, and grandson Callen Lunce.

Fred was born on June 13, 1952, to parents Fred and Wilma Lunce in Jefferson County. He graduated from East Tennessee State in 1972 with a degree in nursing. Fred also held certifications in counseling for drug and alcohol abuse. Fred dedicated the majority of his life to counseling and helping people that suffered from addiction.

A visitation for friends and family was scheduled for Friday, October 24, at Martin Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Pleasant Ridge Elementary in Knox County at 3013 Walnoaks Road, Knoxville, TN 37921.
