The Young Professionals of Oak Ridge will learn about building strong financial foundations during a Tuesday evening meeting.

“Building one’s investor IQ starts with understanding the basics,” a press release said.

The press release said the presentation will help new investors or those who need a refresher with:

  • the importance of developing a strategy,
  • the impact of asset allocation, and
  • the influence of inflation on one’s long-term goals.

The discussion will be led by financial adviser Briana Teroy of Edward Jones, which provides financial services for individual investors. Teroy is a YPOR member.

The Tuesday meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce at 1400 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

The Young Professionals of Oak Ridge, or YPOR, welcomes all people who are age 21-45. YPOR is dedicated to connecting the Oak Ridge community and the East Tennessee regions with local civic, social, and business engagement, the press release said.
