An October fundraiser will feature food and music, and it will benefit the work of CASA of the Tennessee Heartland, which works with abused and neglected children.

It’s CASA’s fifth annual Evening with the Arts, and it’s scheduled from 7-10 p.m. Friday, October 10, in a beautiful lighted tent at Melton Lake Park in Oak Ridge, a press release said. Tickets include wine and New Orleans-style food.

“Enjoy listening and hitting the dance floor with an amazing NOLA jazz quartet,” the press release said.

A silent auction will feature local art pieces, including a Bill Capshaw raku vase, locally created jewelry, and unique photography pieces.

“Buy a bottle of wine from our wine garden for just $20, and you might take home a bottle worth $1,000!” the release said. “Try a glass of champage for just $10, and you could find a diamond at the bottom of your glass.”

Tickets are $40 each or $75 a couple, and they are available online at www.casatnh.org, by calling the administrative office at (865) 425-0888, or by stopping by one of the CASA offices.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!” the release said.

The Evening with the Arts is sponsored by:

  • Corporate partners—Emerachem, MCLinc, RSI, UCOR, Avisco, and Herron-Connell.
  • Event sponsors—Partner’s Development, Enrichment FCU, Alliant, WAI, and Navarro.

CASA of the Tennessee Heartland is a nonprofit, volunteer-based agency with a mission to empower volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in juvenile court.
