I understand the immediate news of ancillary services, but I don’t understand SITEL’s future for keeping their employees. This news is at best a temporary employment for those who apply. The future of call centers is in home business where technology has allowed employees to stay at home and bypass the cost of transportation for employees. If research is done on call service centers, you will find that this type of service is profitable and affordable for all involved to have a home based service and already done by many professionals to avoid the overhead cost of large office buildings and parking lots by setting up low cost voip service within the employee’s home. For those who do enjoy the phone calls and able to meet the demands of a professional looking for this type of employee, look for the companies who are willing to set you up with a voip based call system within your home. That type of employment is growing in demand and has a long term approach to employment if you can handle the volume while at home. The technology has proven that most homes have the infrastructure set up by the outside utility offering ISP at high bandwidths.

Sitel is a disgusting revolving door of employee mistreatment. There has been a freeze on pay raises for years. You’re only kept there until they can replace you with new employees so the number of tenured doesn’t reach too high. As soon as you enter that building you can see the souls waiting to escape the confines of the wall.
