William "Lynn" Ketron

William “Lynn” Ketron

William “Lynn” Ketron, 79, of Oak Ridge, passed away on August 13, 2014.

He was born to parents Alvie Ketron and Vell Lumsford Ketron in Kingsport, Tennessee, on February 11, 1935.

He was of Baptist faith, enjoyed going to flea markets, watching children play, picnics in the park, and watching soap operas, Andy Griffith, and The Price is Right.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Samuel Ketron; and sisters, Emma Kate and Lena Ketron.

His survivors include niece, Martha Olinger of Kingsport; close friends, Dr. Ken Miller, Dr. William Dallas, and John Schubert; and buddies from Chick-Fil-A and McDonalds.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Emory Valley Center, 715 Emory Valley Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

There was a receiving of friends on Saturday, August 16, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, with burial following at Petros Cemetery in Morgan County.
