Obituary: Waunett Davis Fowler

Waunett Davis Fowler passed away August 8, 2014, at Emeritus of Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Tom Bill Fowler, and her son, Michael Fowler.

Waunett graduated from Texas A&M sith a BS in Education, after which she taught English in Lenior City, Robertsville Junior High, and Oak Ridge High School. She was very active in animal rights and continuing education. Waunett was a devoted wife and mother, who will be missed by many friends.

Waunett chose cremation and wished for her ashes to be scattered with her husband.

    And an excellent English teacher she was! Had her one year at Robertsville and another at ORHS. And I can thank her for my learning to use the subjunctive mood correctly.
