Janice Gwen Bell

Gwen Bell, 73, wonderful mother and loving friend, has gone home to our Father in Heaven. She passed peacefully on July 29, 2014.

Gwen was born on January 15, 1941, in Oak Ridge, where she lived her life. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1959 and attended East Tennessee State University.

She is survived by her two children, Kina G. Lambert of Alcoa, and Steven C. Bell of Seymour; sister Sadie Dyer of Macon, Georgia; and many nieces and grandchildren, who all loved her dearly.

Gwen’s family received friends at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home at 1017 Oak Ridge Turnpike from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 3. A private gravside service followed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions for Gwen be donated to her favorite charity, The Wounded Warrior Project.
