Kenneth Edward Jones, age 59, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Kenny was born July 27, 1954, and he was a lifelong resident of Oliver Springs.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Madge Anita McGlothin Jones, and grandmother, May Sexton McGlothin.
Kenny is survived by his father, Bob Jones, and stepmother, Allene Hines Jones; by his son, Wesley Kenneth Jones and wife Emily, and granddaughter, Averie Annalise; by his daughter, Megan Katherine Jones Broscious and husband Chad, and granddaughter, Emberly Lynn; brother, Mike Jones and wife Ann; and sister, Sherry Smith and husband John.
He is also survived by a special friend, Trisha Smith, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were raised more like sisters and brothers.
Kenny owned and operated Kenneth Jones Electric for 30 years. Always a talented sportsman, he played basketball at Norwood Elementary School and Clinton High School. He enjoyed boating and cookouts with his friends and family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 3, between 5 and 7 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Corey Jones and Chad Broscious officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 4, at 10 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
