Oak Ridge High School principal David Bryant has announced the 2014 Oak Ridge High School National Merit finalists. They are pictured above.
In the front row, from left to right, are:
- Aram Bejnood, son of Saeed and Morvarid Bejnood. He will attend the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and major in physics.
- Stephanie Andress, daughter of Keith and Linda Andress. She will attend Purdue University and major in engineering.
- Emily Cheng, daughter of Mei-Ling and Mengdawn Cheng. She will attend Cornell University and major in chemical engineering.
- Gaibo Zhang, son of Zheng Gai and Henry Zhang. He will attend the University of Chicago, and his major is undecided.
In the back row, from left to right, are:
- Liam Schramm, the son of Bill and Stella Schramm. He will attend Bard College and major in physics.
- Josiah Chan, the son of Gilbert and Winnie Chan. He will attend UT-Knoxville and major in engineering.
- ORHS Principal David Bryant
- William Mason, the son of Thom Mason and Jennifer MacGillivray. He will attend Washington University of St. Louis, and his major is undecided.
- Jaspreet Singh, the son of Surinder Paul Singh and Preetinder Kaur Sandhu. He will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy and major in mechanical engineering.
