Kenneth Ray Davis, “Kenny,” age 72, of Knoxville passed away Monday, May 5, at Methodist Medical Center Oak Ridge.

Mr. Davis was born April 22, 1942, to the late Steve Edward and Roxie Hazel Hamilton Davis in the Wheat Community of Roane County.

Kenneth was a member of the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Powell and retired from X-10 after 36 years of service and being employed as a custodian. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, and was a fan of Oak Ridge High School football and basketball. He was a devout Christian and was very dedicated to his church. 


In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Shelia Marlene Collins Davis of Knoxville; brother, Mark Davis of Oak Ridge; sisters, Hazel Coward of Knoxville, and Grace Smith and her husband John of Oak Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Friday, May 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral service starting at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Tim Ambrose and Rev. Terry Hopper officiated. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens where nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
