Willadean Hines, age 89, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mrs. Hines was born April 6, 1925, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She moved to Oliver Springs in 1955.
Mrs. Hines was a faithful Christian and a member of Kellytown Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 211. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and working crossword puzzles.
Before her retirement, she was employed by the Anderson County Schools in the Head Start program.
Willadean was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Gromer, and by her husband, Elmer Vern Hines.
She is survived by a daughter, Carmen Thomas of Peach Tree City, Georgian, and by a son, Robert Hines and wife Marty, of Knoxville, and by grandchildren, Steven, Amy, Jessica, and Nathan.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kevin Thacker officiating.
