Sewer rehabilitation in Oak Ridge continues for the week of April 21. Residents should have already received color letters and door hangers providing general information and the applicable contractor’s contact information. The letters and door hangers are orange for Hurst Excavating and purple for Morgan Contracting.

Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are urged to use extra care and caution when traveling on the streets with sewer work areas, a press release said. Temporary road repairs will be made, and loose gravel should be expected until the patches are permanently paved.

All construction work is subject to change based on such unknowns as weather, equipment and access issues. The construction work schedule for the week beginning April 21 is as follows:

EAST PLANT III REHABILITATION PROJECT (HURST EXCAVATING – ORANGE)

  • Delaware Avenue
  • East Fairview Road
  • East Forest Road
  • Firestone Road
  • Fairbanks Road
  • Florida Avenue
  • Outer Drive
  • Taylor Road
  • Tennessee Avenue
  • West Fernhill Road

Hurst Excavating’s Yard Restoration Crew will be here sometime during the week, in addition to Rather CCTV working Post Pipe Burst videotaping, and will be at several locations throughout the site.

EAST PLANT IV REHABILITATION PROJECT (MORGAN CONTRACTING – PURPLE)

  • Administration Road
  • Arcadian Lane
  • Broadway
