Lena A. Hamby Henley, age 90, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Sunday, April 6, at NHC in Oak Ridge.

Mrs. Henley was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Morgan County. Following the marriage to her late husband, Walter Henley, she moved to Oliver Springs, where she continued to live.

She was a homemaker, a devout Christian mother, and a member of the Jonesville United Methodist Church. She fondly worked in the Outreach program at the church. She also enjoyed cooking, quilting, and gardening.

In addition to her late husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Ruppe Hamby; by sisters, Stella Melhorn, Louella Melhorn, and Katie Hamby; and by a brother, Charlie Hamby.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Trammell and husband Gary; by sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Henley and wife Janice, Jimmy Henley and wife Janice, and Kendall Henley and wife Willie Lee, all of Oliver Springs; by grandchildren, Jason Henley and wife Marlie, Nicholas Henley, Angie Wilson and husband Adam, Paige Simpson and husband Michael, and Justin Henley; and by several great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, Fred Hamby of Coalfield; by a sister, Wilma Walker of Harriman; and by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many special friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 9, between 5 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Justice and Pastor John Slater officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Jonesville Cemetery, in c/o of the Jonesville United Methodist Church, 2323 Old Harriman Highway, Oliver Springs, TN 37840 and/or the Camp Austin Cemetery, c/o of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, PO Box 67, Wartburg, TN 37887.
