Jimmy Allen Seiber, age 56, a resident of Port Richey, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Fla.
He was born in Oliver Springs on Dec. 30, 1957, at the Dr. Stone Hospital. He grew up and was raised in Devonia, the New River community, in Anderson County.
Surviving him are his wife Annie; sisters, Sharon Seiber-Stefka (Michael), Janet Seiber-Tworek (Peter), Brenda Seiber-Sharp (Ronnie), and MaryLinda Seiber-Hoegsted (Khris). He is further survived by 11 stepchildren and 32 step-grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and by a special aunt that Jimmy considered as his second mother, Lizzy West Seiber and her family.
He was preceded in death by his father Beacher Seiber, mother Helen Faye Phillips Seiber, and brother, Donald Seiber, and his grandparents Rossie and Laura Seiber, and Burley and Lina Phillips.
Jimmy attended Rosedale Elementary School in Devonia (New River). He was baptized by his grandfather, Burley Phillips at Shiloh Baptist Church. As a child, Jimmy attended church at Fork Mountain, Beach Grove, Moore’s Camp, and Shiloh Baptist Church, on New River. He grew up in Fort Mountain and Moore’s Camp.
He loved his family, and his hometown New River, fishing, traveling around the USA, and especially going to Las Vegas, Nev.
The family received friends Friday, March 21, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral followed in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m. with Pastor Gary Arms officiating. Burial was on Saturday, March, 22, at 11 a.m. at Petros Cemetery.
