Roane State Community College’s Jutta Bangs has been awarded the Certified Global Business Professional, or CGBP, credential by NASBITE International.
Bangs has more than 20 years of experience in the global business industry. She is the director of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, which assists future and existing business owners with training and confidential counseling.
Established in 1988, NASBITE (National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators) is an educational and professional association committed to promoting international trade through conferences, newsletters, and its coveted CGBP credential. More than 1,500 candidates have received the credential, which is recognized internationally.
The CGBP credential provides a benchmark for competency in global commerce and demonstrates an individual’s ability to conduct global business at the professional level required in today’s competitive environment. When the CGBP credential is awarded, it establishes a person’s competency in four domains: global business management, global marketing, supply chain management, and trade finance.
Businesses that want more information on how to expand globally, as well as assistance with their business needs, should contact the Tennessee Small Business Development Center by visiting www.roanestate.edu/tsbdc.
