Roane County Property Assessor David Morgan recently received an outstanding new member award from the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers.
Morgan received the award during the TNAAO Regional Educational Seminars on Jan. 23. It was presented on behalf of the TNAAO by Executive Director Will Denami.
“The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers proudly recognizes David Morgan for joining in the leadership of this organization in the service of Roane County and the assessment profession in Tennessee and names him Outstanding New Member 2013,†said 2013 Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers President Betty Burchett.
“Dave Morgan has done a very good job of seeking education and training for himself and his staff since taking office,” Denami said. “He has demonstrated leadership in selecting tools and working with taxpayers in Roane County and definitely earned this award.â€
“We have an excellent team in the Roane County Assessor’s office, and we have a tremendous responsibility in trying to make sure everyone is treated fairly in Roane County,” Morgan said. “It is a privilege to serve the people of Roane County and an honor to be recognized by the Assessors Association for this award. We are going to continue to work hard every day to do the very best job we can.”
The TNAAO is a professional organization comprised of the elected officials serving as property assessors in Tennessee’s 95 counties. Headquartered in Nashville, the TNAAO’s purpose is to work on behalf of the people of the state to ensure fairness and uniformity in statutes regarding the assessment of property, as well as to promote excellence through best practices and professionalism among those charged with this vital task.
