Shannon Sampson

Shannon Lynn Sampson, age 55, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Shannon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved Christmas and flower gardening. Her joy in life was her children and grandchildren. Shannon was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Ollie Wright, and brother, Danny Douglas Wright.

Shannon is survived by her husband of 29 years, Daniel Sampson of Clinton; son, Justin Sampson and wife Katie of Kingston; daughter, Amy Guy of Oakdale; grandchildren, Raelynn, Dannah, and Madison McBride of Clinton; and one sister and brother–in-law.

Shannon’s family received her friends on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 6-8 p.m. with her funeral service immediately following at 8 p.m., all in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Her interment was Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. at Wright Cemetery in Jamestown, Tenn.
