Glenda Finks Hopper, age 52, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at her home.
Glenda was born on July 26, 1961, in Oak Ridge. She was a lifelong resident of this area.
Mrs. Hopper was a hairdresser who was formerly employed at Master Cuts of Oak Ridge and Total Image of Clinton. She attended the Beech Park Baptist Church and was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Mary Daugherty, and by a son, Matthew Finks.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Hopper, of Oliver Springs; by daughters, Crystal Finks of Farragut, and Miranda Turpin of Oliver Springs; by step-daughters, Jackie Williams of Oliver Springs, and Shawna Morgan and husband Jimmy of Oliver Springs; by a brother, Steven Daugherty and wife Carla of Coalfield; by sisters, Sheila Patterson of Kingston, Connie Marlow of Oak Ridge, Janet Raby and husband Eddie of Oliver Springs, and Stephanie Oakes and husband Eric of Coalfied; and by grandchildren, Jackson Stiltner, Ethan Sowder, James Sowder, Conner Finks, Lindsey Simmons, and Jordan, Jessica, and Rebecca Morgan.
A private funeral service will be held for the family only on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. Burial will follow at the Oliver Springs Cemetery.
