Arminta M. Robinson

Arminta M. Robinson, age 98, of Oak Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the Brakebill Nursing Home.

Ms. Robinson was born Jan. 15, 1915, in Kingston to the late Robert Christian and Alyce Kelsay Ladd. She left her East Tennessee home and went to work at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, N.M. Upon her retirement from Sandia National Laboratory, she returned to her beloved East Tennessee and moved to Oak Ridge in 1978.

She was a dedicated member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church and an active member of the community and touched so many lives with her deep concern for others and her wonderful positive spirit.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Audubon Ladd, Jane McCormack, Kendall Ladd, Mary Irwin, R.C. Ladd, and Alyce Franken. She is survived by her sister Alvah Mae Campbell of Lenoir City and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 2 p.m. at the Dyllis Cemetery with Rev. Jim Bails officiating.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Helen Vodopick MD and her staff for their excellent professional care and kindness, wonderful friends and neighbors Don and Pearl Bogrand for their many years of love and devotion, a very special thank you to our dear friend and her very special caregiver Katie Byers, and to the staff of Brakebill Nursing Home and Caris Hospice for their love and support.
