Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce member businesses are preparing for the 2013 Primetime Tailgate Party, the Chamber’s premiere business showcase and networking event.

Participating businesses have been encouraged to come dressed in their favorite team colors and to decorate their display areas with a football tailgate theme. The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce at 1400 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Primetime is a business showcase opportunity for members of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. Anyone—Chamber member or not—is encouraged to attend, find out more about member businesses and organizations, and make new contacts.

This is the Chamber’s premiere networking event of the year. It’s an opportunity for members of the Chamber to network with one another as well as to allow members of the public to come by and see what area businesses have to offer.

The evening will include music, food, beverages, and door prizes. Everything one would expect in a tailgate environment, including special guests.

Stephen Whitson, chairman of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors and president of H-S Whitson Construction Company, said: “The Chamber’s Primetime Tailgate party is a great opportunity for members to showcase what their businesses and organizations are all about. Having the chance to meet other Chamber members and members of the public is one of the reasons so many members take advantage of participating. We encourage anyone in the community who is interested to stop by to meet our Chamber members and find out what they do.”

Parker Hardy, president of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce said: “This is our third Primetime Tailgate Party and it will be our biggest yet. We are looking forward to hosting our members and the community at this business showcase.”

More than 80 Chamber-member businesses and organizations have reserved showcase space for the event so far. Participants in this year’s Primetime are:
