Hazel Eugenia Crossno, age 79, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Briarcliff Health Care Center.
Hazel was born June 16, 1934, in Ware Shoals, S.C., to the late Jesse R. and Lula Mae Turner Webb. Hazel was a longtime Oak Ridger and a member of Robertsville Baptist Church. She was last employed by Anderson Memorial Gardens as office manager. She was a member of the AmVets Auxiliary, and enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, bingo, and served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her infant son Jerry D. Larabee and her brother Robert “Danny” Webb.
She is survived by five children, Jesse L. Larabee, Tracy J. Larabee and his wife Karen, Jimmy L. Larabee and his wife Donna, Susan K. Powers and her husband Gary, all of Oak Ridge, and Wilma J. McMeans and her husband Wayne of Seattle, Wash., her brother Jesse W. “J.W.” Webb and his wife Linda, her sisters Emily S. “Sue” Helton, Mary Jo Cook and her husband Fred, and Phyllis K. Webb, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 11, prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A family graveside service will be held at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians Inc., 1567 Downtown West Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37919.
