AARP Senior Driver’s Safety Program on Wednesday, Thursday

The AARP Senior Driver’s Safety Program is being offered at the Oak Ridge Senior Center on Wednesday and Thursday.

The eight-hour class will be held in two sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, and it is open to drivers in Oak Ridge and the area who are 50 and older. You do not have to be a member of AARP to attend.

The class costs $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Register by calling the Senior Center at (865) 425-3999.

Graduates of the class may be able to qualify for a discount on their automobile insurance. Instruction is through class work only, and no tests are given. Attendance at both sessions is required for certification. The Senior Center is located at 728 Emory Valley Road.
