Lydia Maryann Levanovic, 85 of Oak Ridge, passed away on Sept. 13, 2013, at Summit View of Farragut.
She was born to parents Stephen and Marie Derbas Lazo on Feb. 20, 1928, in Chicago.
Lydia was of the Russian Orthodox faith and loved playing bingo, cooking, decorating, and her dogs.
Her husband John preceded her in death on April 17, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Lazo.
Her survivors include her son, Mark Levanovic of New Carlisle, Ind.; daughter, Susan Lynn Rufi (Frits) of Oak Ridge; brother, Steve Lazo (Betty) of North Carolina; sisters, Anastasia Larsen, Nadia Lazo, and Luba Zuniga, all of New Carlisle, Ind.; Faith Hatfield (Bill) of Evansville, Ill.; grandchildren, John Rufi, Julie Armes, and Andie Rufi all of Oak Ridge; and great-grandchildren, Berkley Armes and Aiden Rufi.
The family wishes to extend extreme gratitude to Caris Hospice and to Summit View of Farragut for their loving care and concern of Lydia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 10088, Knoxville, TN 37939-9910.
