Barry Guy Jones

Barry Guy Jones, age 63, a resident of Anderson County, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Barry was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Oak Ridge. He was a lifelong resident of Anderson County.

Before his retirement, he was employed as a cardio-defibrillator sales representative.

Barry loved to laugh and have fun. He had a great zest for life, and he found many ways to entertain himself. He was a outgoing man with varied interest and many friends.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Jones Jr. and Gladys Carringer Jones.

Barry is survived by a brother, Mick Jones and wife Denise Justice Jones; by a nephew, Dustin Jones and Brittany; by a niece, Brooke Jones and fiancé Duanne; and by a great-niece and nephew, Leah Ashton Jones and Kevin Ryan Jones all of West Chester, Pa.

He is also survived by several aunts, June Hudson, Janice Hale, Jeanette Babb, Judy Slack, and Jackie Maston; by a uncle, Joe Jones; and by several cousins and other extended family members.

Graveside services and burial will be private at the Estes Cemetery in Coalfield. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. An online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com
