A drumming and spirituality workshop has been scheduled for Sept. 15 at the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church on Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Drums will be available, or you can bring your own. The workshop will be led by Matt Meyer, and it starts at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.

The workshop is open to people of all skill levels, and it will include instruction on basic techniques, as well as information on the origins of percussion instruments from around the world, a press release said. Participants will also experience the spirituality of community music-making through stories, games, and discussions.

The Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Tickets are $10 per person if purchased online at www.oruuc.org/events/ or $12 at the door.

For more information, call the ORUUC office at (865) 483-6761.
