The Oak Ridge High School Boys Basketball Boosters invite you to participate in their 16th annual golf tournament, a press release said.
This year’s event—a four-man scramble format—will be held Aug. 17 at Centennial Golf Course in Oak Ridge. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Sponsored by BSN Sports, the tournament costs $75 per person.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a fundraiser breakfast and free range balls for participants. A Mulligan Package is also available for $25, which includes mulligans, a red tee, a door prize ticket, and a putting contest ticket, the press release said.
There will be prizes awarded to the teams finishing first in the top two flights, as well as awards for the closest-to-the-pin on three different holes. In addition, a longest drive competition will be part of the tournament.
All proceeds will go to help fund the 2013-2014 boys basketball team at Oak Ridge High School, which hopes to find continued success after reaching the state playoffs in 2013, the press release said.
A lunch sponsored by Popeyes Catering will be held for all players at the conclusion of the event.
Golf teams and hole sponsors are still needed. For more information, contact ORHS boys’ coach Aaron Green at (865) 423-1829 or tournament director Matt Reedy at (865) 306-7162.
