The Anderson County Fair officially kicks off this evening and will run through Saturday on the Fairgrounds in Clinton. Gates open at 5 p.m. today, and children ages 17 and under will get in for free.

In addition, if you can find Kubota of Knoxville owner Ron Krise at the Fair, he has purchased 100 armbands that will allow kids to ride the rides on the midway all night long. The midway opens at 6 p.m. and those armbands will be $20.

Also tonight, the Kevin Wilder Band will perform at 6 p.m., and the 4WD Stock and Outlaw Truck Qualifying Pulls will begin at 7 p.m. Also at 7 pm, there will be a dance contest and tonight’s Living Heritage demonstrations will be crocheting, knitting, and spinning.

The nightly cash giveaway will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.

General admission is $5, weeklong passes are $20, and kids under 6 get in free to the Anderson County Fair. For more information and a complete schedule, visit www.andersoncountyfairtn.com.
